Individual French Lessons

Available from beginner to advanced level with friendly and enthusiastic native French teachers.

Our French Lessons are creatively structured in order to develop your French skills and bring out the best in you.

Our teachers are highly experienced and will put you at ease as you learn and progress.

Meet with Pierre for a complimentary 15 minute session where you can find out more about French Moments, discuss your goals and assess your level of French. You can then organise a convenient time for your lessons and get started!

2012 Fees:

$720 for a Private Lesson Term Package (8 weeks) of 90 minutes.

$95 for a casual Private Lesson of 90 minutes.

All our fees are GST inclusive.

Conversation

You are given every opportunity to practice your French on a given topic.

Grammar, spelling and verbs

Develop more confidence in the use of French grammar, spelling and verbs.

French Civilization

Everything you wish to know about France, its geography, its history, its customs and culture... is incorporated into your classes ... in French! A focus on different regions and their touristic attractions is woven into the sessions .. not forgetting their gastronomic delights which you will discover along the journey.

French Movies

Each week you are given a movie to watch and we discuss the story line as well as the themes surrounding it in the following week.

French Literature

We embark on a historical journey to France’s most renowned classics, including La Fontaine, Rousseau, Hugo, Verlaine and Prévert.

French Economics

If you are learning French for business then a focus can be made on learning the economic and legal vocabulary around doing business in France along with French work ethics and customs.

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED LEVELS

A strong focus on oral skills

The beginner lessons provide an ideal context for learning French through a structured and logical progression.

Basic questions/numbers/alphabet and spelling/contact details/work environment/family/housing/prices in euros/finding your way in a French-speaking city/cultural aspects/etc.

After each stage (usually achieved within 10 lessons), you can opt to sit a 20 minute progress test.

You will be given a set of student worksheets of the lessons covered.

French Moments provides you with a fun and friendly learning experience.

BEGINNER LEVEL

(*) This timing is only an indication. It is based on the assumption of lessons being taken on a regular basis and that revision and practice work is completed as requested.

Our objective (*)

Within 30 hours: to equip you in using authentic language in real-life contexts.

You can ask questions and give simple answers in real-life situations.

You can use short sentences in order to obtain/give important information.

Within 60 hours: to reach confidence and autonomy in real-life contexts.

You become autonomous in your expression and comprehension of French.

You develop a certain confidence in using present, past and future tenses.

Within 90 hours: to master your communication in French.

You can understand most of French radio/television programs.

You can use an extensive vocabulary in a professional context.

You can choose to have your lessons themed from the following:

If you going to live, study or work in Switzerland, our Individual French Lessons are specially adapted from our usual programme to assist you in your new Swiss environment.
