Each morning a multimedia presentation of the sites to be visited later in the day is provided. An optional 40 minute group French lesson will be offered at the hotel in the morning in Alsace and Lorraine for beginners and intermediate level people who want to learn key-expressions or perfect their skills. In Lorraine and Alsace, a small team of French people will be joining us during our daily visits. Their role will be to talk in French with those who want to.
The capital of the Dukes of Lorraine is famous throughout Europe for its UNESCO World Heritage squares, dating from the 18th Century. Nancy has improved over the last 20 years with a complete refurbishment of its Old Town, making the Lorraine capital an even more pleasant place to stay. Beautiful squares and buildings reveal a rich historical past, when the independent Duchy of Lorraine was coveted by the Kings of France and Austrian Habsburg. Your hotel is ideally located near the SNCF railway station which links Paris (1 hour 30) and Metz (45 min). The famous Place Stanislas with its golden gates and fountains is a 10 min walk away. 3 nights.
