“Three years ago having returned from a three week vacation in France I wanted to extend my studies in French beyond the mid intermediate level.

I had tried various courses which were quite good but then I was fortunate, while buying some French cheese, to meet Pierre who had arrived in Australia from France only a few weeks previously. It turned out that he was looking for students interested in French lessons.

Since then I have had regular classes with Pierre which have suited my particular aims. Not only to pursue my conversational and language skills but including aspects of French culture and life, and these have included things as diverse as French popular music or the pattern of roof tiles in Burgundy. These lessons have been most enjoyable and I have found that Pierre was able to teach with skill and insight according to one's particular learning needs and peculiarities.

Pierre has also organised a number of intensive courses conducted in French and surveying various French regions, such as Alsace-Lorraine or Normandy or others. These have directed me toward further study of historical events and aspects of the regions. From time to time there are events conducted in English centering around a region, perhaps, or an important date like Bastille Day. They feature an audiovisual presentation and a meal themed to the occasion.”
