About Alsace and Lorraine

Lorraine and Alsace have charmed travellers for years but it is only recently that English speaking visitors began to recognize their touristic interests. These two regions offer many unexpected architectural, geographical, historical and climatic differences, making them a sheer joy to visit.

The beauty of the Alsatian wine route is indisputable, with a magnificent setting overlooking the Vosges, the multitude of castles and the Plain of Alsace stretching to the Black Forest Mountains in Germany.

Offering impressive mountainous scenery, the entire area has managed to conserve its distinctive character in its historical wine villages, its medieval cities and its mountain pine forests.

Not only has the regional architecture been preserved, but also the local customs and traditions. The varied regional cuisine and local wines are an extra treat for the visitor.

The different activities on this tour have been specially selected for their charm, style and history, each with its individual character and unique location. A highlight of the trip will be spending Bastille Day in this part of France!

Thank you for your interest in Lorraine and Alsace and I hope you can join us for this memorable trip in July 2012.
